To Tempt a Trout

Kick off the day with an early morning fishing rodeo for anglers 15 and under. You can also pick up tips on tackle, technique, and trout management methods. The pond will open to the general public at 11:00 AM. Programs are free. $3.00 park pass required.

July 4-6 - Friday-Sunday
Patriotic Pastimes

Spend Independence Day weekend at Amicalola playing old-fashioned games, making patriotic crafts, and enjoying summer games from the past and present. Programs are free. $3.00 park pass required.

August 9-10 - Saturday-Sunday
Wilderness Survival Weekend

Learn the essentials of surviving in the wilderness. This program is for families and children or anyone interested in learning these skills. Hands on activities as well as discussions and demonstrations will be included. Programs are free. $3.00 park pass required.

September 20-21 - Saturday-Sunday
Amicalola Through the Ages

Learn about the history of the land that became Amicalola Falls State Park and about the culture of the people that have always treasured this area. See how we have grown and developed over the years. Programs are free. $3.00 park pass required.

November 27 - Thursday
Appalachian Thanksgiving

Experience a traditional Thanksgiving buffet with a day full of old-fashioned family fun. Displays and Appalachian cultural demonstrations will be presented at the Lodge throughout the day. Reservations are required for the Thanksgiving buffet, and space fills quickly. Programs are free. $3.00 park pass required.

December 6 - Saturday
Christmas Open House

Enjoy choir performances and Gingerbread House creations, and then go for a winter hayride. Afterwards warm up by the fire and visit with Santa. Programs are free. $3.00 park pass required.
