Enjoy a chunk of watermelon and enter our famous contest. Prizes!
5:00 p.m. - Greased Pole Contest
(Meet at the Visitor Center)
What fun... what a challenge... what a mess! Whether you live in the country or the city, you'll be "slicker" after this competition. We highly recommend packing a change of clothes! Prizes!

We also have volleyball, horseshoe sets, footballs, and fishing poles available to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis from the Visitor's Center.
All programs are free, however a $3 parking pass is required for your vehicle (unless you have a yearly parking ParkPass).

The Friends of Amicalola Falls State Park are a group of dedicated people who work together to help the Park meet its mission to protect the Park’s natural beauty and historic integrity while providing opportunities for public enjoyment and education. Many members of the Friends of Amicalola Falls State Park serve as Volunteers and contribute their time and talents to support the Park in many ways including working side-by-side with Park staff, raising contributions for various projects, and seeking state and federal legislative support for the Parks.
